Welcome to Rio Grande Safety Solutions — I'm Brian Walsh, and construction safety is what I do.

I spend my days on-site, currently supporting safety operations on a large-scale data center project, working alongside crews in the heat, the dust, and the tight schedules that come with real construction work. I built this company because I believe safety should feel like part of the job, not paperwork bolted onto it — and that starts with actually being out there with the people doing the work.

I hold the Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) and Safety Trained Supervisor - Construction (STS-C) credentials from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals, and I'm completing my OSHA-30 now. Before founding Rio Grande, I spent six years with the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries — first as a Safety Compliance Officer, then developing safety training programs statewide. And before that, I spent 20 years in the U.S. Army, including a decade running unit safety programs and completing the Army's Safety Officers Course, retiring as a Staff Sergeant.
