Meet Brian Walsh, Founder
I’ve spent more than 18 years in safety, first in the U.S. Army and then as a regulator. Over 20 years of Army service, I supervised up to 130 soldiers and ran safety inspections, accident investigations, and hazardous materials handling for logistics operations around the world.
After the Army, I earned an Associate’s in Occupational Safety & Health and joined Washington State’s Division of Occupational Safety & Health, the state-run OSHA program. As a Compliance Safety & Health Officer, I did more than 175 inspections and led 25 investigations into serious injuries and fatalities. I later trained the state’s own inspectors in fall protection, excavation, machine safeguarding, forklifts, aerial lifts, and accident investigation.
Today I work as a safety representative on a 1,300-acre data center project in El Paso, one of the largest construction sites in the region. I know what an inspector looks for, why incidents happen, and how to fix problems in ways that keep crews safe and the work on schedule. Rio Grande Safety Solutions gives contractors and employers that experience without adding a full-time position to payroll.
